Recent news reports the eruption of a volcano in Grindavik, a town in Iceland, after weeks of intense earthquakes.
According to an article published by Sky News, “There have been several eruptions in unpopulated areas in the peninsula in recent years” but nothing that posed such a great threat to the town as this one.
As a result, around 4,000 people evacuated from the town, many out of fear after receiving alerts from the local authorities.
This natural phenomenon is nothing short of another sign that points to the return of the Lord Jesus. In fact, He said in the book of Matthew:
“(…) There will be famines and earthquakes in various places” (Matthew 24:7 NKJV)
With more calamities taking place around the world each day, it is essential that you prioritise great care for your soul.
Building a strong relationship with God will not only help you to endure all the challenges that we are yet to face in the upcoming years, but it will also fill you with an incomprehensible sense of security and certainty of where you are destined.
The Bible promises a new home for those who have a relationship with God, after enduring pain suffered here on earth:
“Now I saw a heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away (…)”(Revelation 21:1 NKJV)
However, it is said in the same chapter:
“But there shall by no means enter anything that defiles, or cases an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life” (Revelation 21:27 NKJV)
Who are those whose names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life? It’s not those who are perfect, without mistakes and who have a blameless past. Nor does the Lord Jesus despise anyone because of their age, gender, race or religious background.
All those who decide to let go of their past, in order to live a life in alliance with the Word of God, receive the privilege of being considered His children and their names are written in the Book of Life.
No matter what you may have done or gone through up until this moment, know that your Creator still has His hand out-stretched, waiting to receive you.
