Many people believe in God and even regularly attend church, yet they still do not have the habit of reading the Bible.
They don’t realise that with this attitude, it is impossible to remain in faith or to protect themselves from evil attacks.
There are many benefits to reading your Bible regularly and putting it into practice in your daily life. Psychologist, Corine Williams, says, “reading the Bible causes our brain to release dopamine. When this happens, we experience a strong emotional response that affects our behaviour (…)”.
In other words, joy starts in the mind, with the thoughts we nourish and keep. That’s why filling your mind with thoughts from the Source of Joy, the Holy Spirit, produces feelings of well-being and happiness.
The Word of God explains in Galatians the fruit of the Spirit of God:
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law” (Galatians 5:22 NKJV)
However, make no mistake in thinking that it is enough to read and know the Sacred Text for something in you to change. As important as it is to know it; it is obeying it in practice.
If you’d like to reap these benefits, join us as we commence a weekly Biblical study taking place every Wednesday at your local Universal Church. At these meetings, you will receive practical messages, that when applied produce life-transformative results.
The messages in these meetings will guide you towards a life of peace and closeness with God. Of course, nothing worth having is easy to achieve, likewise in order to achieve an intimate relationship with the Spirit of God, commitment, perseverance and persistence are necessary.
Gradually, you will notice a change in the way you think and the strength to overcome your daily challenges and inner conflicts.
That’s why you are encouraged to make a vow with yourself to attend every single one of these weekly meetings, until the end of this Bible Study series.
To make the most of these meetings, bring your paper Bible, notebook and a pen, so you can make notes of what most applies to you. Above all, come with an open mind and eagerness to receive the direction that the Holy Spirit has to give to you.
