Last month, the Universal Teen Force (UTF) group held a picnic in the park for the teens and their parents in several locations across the UK.
The jam-packed event started at 1pm with a prayer and was followed by various fun games and activities prepared by the UTF advisors.
Iracelma, one of the parents said, “The activities were great fun and created an amazing opportunity for me to enjoy a precious moment with my son. I can’t wait for the next one.”
The picnic was not only an opportunity for teens and their parents to bond but the parents also learnt how to make the most of the UTF meetings.
The main message they received was that we have no control over the future, parents must therefore rely on the guidance of God which comes from having a relationship with Him.
Teaching teenagers the principles of faith at home is essential for character building in children and adolescents. The Bible explains in Proverbs 22:6 that children remember their teachings from childhood, so it’s never too soon to introduce your children to the teachings of God.
Snacks and water were provided and both the parents and teens enjoyed the afternoon and are looking forward to the next event being held by the UTF.
A mother of one of the teens explained that it was, “a beautiful day rich in teamworking, bonding and learning. As a parent, I feel so blessed to have such an amazing team looking after my children.”
Do you have a child between the age of 11 and 14? Then, they are welcomed to join us. For more information about the work of the UTF and how your child can join, visit your nearest Universal Church and speak with an advisor.
