2016 has ended, and many people were left feeling as though they did not achieve what they had intended. Others entered 2017 with a heavy heart thinking about problems that had brought them much sadness. However, regardless of how the year ended, and how the word of God is emphatic in determining:
“Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. See, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it?” (Isaiah 43.18, 19)
Now, it is up to you to do the same: forget everything you left behind and start with self-forgiveness. In other words, forgive yourself for everything and forgive everyone who mistreated you. Throw away all the chains of darkness that bound you into last year’s rubbish bin: sorrows, doubts, bad thoughts, bad eyes and everything else that still holds you back, whether it is in the recent past or not.
“Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old.” In other words, you should not beat yourself up over what you did or did not do, and nor should you blame yourself or someone for something that happened. Stop thinking about what has already happened, and look towards the target that is in front of you.
There are only 363 days remaining until 2017 comes to an end. However, there are also 363 new opportunities to start over. So, start determining today what will happen in the upcoming days.
The Lord does one new and greater thing every day, but He asks: “Shall you not know it?” To know the good things that the Almighty has done, we must have good eyes and, above all, faith. Good eyes make us see the same perspective as God, and faith makes us achieve what we see.
Therefore, if you determine right now to begin to take actions that show your faith, I don’t have the slightest doubt that 2017 will be the best year of your life and YOU WILL EXPLODE!
