The Internet

The Inter-NET, or internal network, has entangled many in its net. It is a trap used by the devil to capture his prey. Have you ever seen a fly desperately flap its wings in an attempt to get away from the spider’s web?

The same is happening with those who become entangled with social media, games and all kinds of sinful websites. The devil is using the Internet to drag many to hell.

The truth is that with advances in technology and computing, people go to sleep and wake up with their cell phone in hand.

The last thing of the night is the cell phone.
The first thing of the day is the cell phone.

The devil knows he is not omnipresent, so he remains online 24 hours a day searching for his prey.
There is not a lack of applications, groups and tools to keep you busy on the Internet. Evil casts tempting bait.

It is not wrong to use the Internet, cell phone, computer or applications. However, it is wrong to become their slave.

You protect your computer against viruses, but has your soul been infected with an evil virus?

The Internet has led many to touch the fruit of the tree of life. The devil said, “Eat and you will become knowledgeable of GOOD and EVIL…”

When you use the Internet responsibly and, especially, with fear of God, it will not lead you to hell.

The fruit was there at their disposal and they had access to the tree, but the fear of God did not allow them to touch it. Anyone that uses the Internet without fear of God is touching the forbidden fruit and will lose access to Paradise, sooner or later.

How do you know if the Internet is good or bad for you?

Analyze what you read and hear, the websites and blogs you visit, the videos you watch, the groups and communities you participate in, the chat rooms, etc.

If you have become like a fly trapped in the web (internet), you need deliverance just as much as a drug addict.

Here’s a hint of how to use the Internet:

“All things are lawful for me, but all things are not helpful. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.” 1 Corinthians 6.12

Every time you surf the web, remember this verse.

May the God of the Bible bless you!
