Gentleness (Kindness) is characterised by the ability to give the same gentle and friendly treatment to all kinds of people, whether they are Christians or not. The fruit of the Spirit is God’s character, and must be visible to all those who have nothing to do with the Lord Jesus Christ. Everyone must be able to see God through us. Gentleness reveals a high level of Christian behaviour that glorifies God.
By having communion with God, it is possible for us to reveal His love through the fruit of the Holy Spirit wherever we go. The Lord Jesus said, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven” (Matthew 5:16).
This means that God is glorified by the fruit of the Spirit as it appears within us.
