Last Thursday, 30 May, the Marriage Celebration took place worldwide, and in the UK everyone gathered in the branch of Kilburn to celebrate the blessing of 9 couples.
It was a joyous moment, with the exchange of marriage vows on the Altar, a prayer to present the couples to God, and the kiss.
The main message of the seminar catered to both married and singles:
“Look to Abraham, your father, and to Sarah who bore you (…)” (Isaiah 51:2 NKJV)
In today’s society, there are plenty of bad references when it comes to relationships – celebrities, movies, music, and the list goes on.
However, if you want to have a successful family, the Bible teaches us to look to the good examples, such as Abraham and his wife Sarah, who were faithful to each other.
To conclude, the singles were encouraged to hold on to the promise of God:
“If you have godly principles, God will provide you with someone just like you,” – Mrs Helena Marques.
The service concluded with a prayer directed at all who understood the importance of avoiding past mistakes.
