Roses are among the most popular flowers in the world and are often seen as symbols of care. They are commonly given as gifts to express love and appreciation to those considered important. In the Bible, specifically in Song of Solomon 2:1, the bride compares herself to a “rose of Sharon“, referencing a region known for its beautiful flowers. This biblical book, written by King Solomon, depicts love within a marital context, but it also represents the love of the Lord Jesus (the groom) for the Church (the bride).
In this context, the “rose of Sharon” symbolises the Lord Jesus. In our weekly purpose of the 13 Fridays for the Fall of the Spiritual Walls with the Blessed Rose, the rose serves as a point of contact between God’s power and people’s lives. Many individuals are surrounded by invisible spiritual barriers that hinder their success. That is why this special purpose is designed for all who recognise their need for deliverance in order to overcome spiritual challenges and dismantle these walls through the power of faith.
You are invited to join us at your nearest Universal Church every Friday and bring a rose to be consecrated. Just as the Lord Jesus absorbed all the evils of humanity on the Cross, we believe that each consecrated rose will absorb all the negativity that may be preventing you from living a life in abundance.
During these meetings, pastors and assistants will offer powerful spiritual deliverance prayers with the laying on of hands for everyone who desires it. To extend this blessing to your family, you will take the consecrated rose home, symbolising the presence of Jesus entering that space.
