alerta para os perigos, Alguns dos motivos, buscar a Salvação Eterna, Reino de Deus,
In 1947, the scientific journal Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists published the “Apocalypse Clock” on its cover.
The “clock”, of course, was not real, it was just a metaphor. But it served as an alert to the dangers of a nuclear war that could arise at the beginning of the so-called Cold War.
Two years before publication, the Japanese cities Hiroshima and Nagasaki had been destroyed by atomic bombs – a power of catastrophe never seen before by humanity.
Since they were part of the magazine, the “hands” of the “clock” have been changed 23 times. Whenever humanity “lose control”, it approaches midnight, “the final hour”.
That’s what happened recently. The current group that analyzes the “clock” — composed of 14 scientists specializing in climate change, nuclear energy and weapons, mainly — “positioned” the hands to 2 and a half minutes before midnight.
It is the first time that the clock is “advanced” all at once by 30 seconds – which reveals a sudden change.
Some of the reasons for this “pre-apocalyptic” scenario would be international conflicts negotiated inefficiently, constant risk of a nuclear war, dangers generated by fake news on the internet, lack of security on the internet, increase in temperature in several regions of the planet, increase in sea level, the greenhouse effect, the risks involved in the involvement of the United States of America (USA) with the conflicts in Syria and the instability on the Ukraine-Russia border.
When will the Apocalypse be?
According to the Bible, only God knows when the End Times will occur: “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but the Father.” Mark 13.32
However, the Lord Jesus, when He was in His form as a man here on Earth, told what would be some of the signs that the end was near.
We must seek Eternal Salvation
It doesn’t matter when the End Times arrive, people who belong to God must seek Eternal Salvation in the Lord Jesus.
As the apostle Paul observed: “I have been crucified with Christ; and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me, and gave Himself for me.” Galatians 2.20
Those who desire the Kingdom of God need to follow what is written in His Word.
If you want to achieve Eternal Salvation, participate in the daily meetings that take place in the Help Center. We also have an Apocalypse study every Sunday at 6 pm at the Rainbow Theatre .
