A loving relationship, good health, thriving career, peace of mind, happy family, happy home-a happy life! At the core of it, isn’t this what most people hope to have one day? But time passes and a series of setbacks, bad decisions and disappointments turn what was once a certainty of things hoped for into nothing more than wishful thinking.
They keep going and keep trying but now instead of truly going for what they want, they cross their fingers and hope for the best. Something is better than nothing, right? WRONG! What we want you to understand is that, there is a HUGE difference between hoping and wishing.
When someone expresses a wish, they are showing what they long to happen or see, but deep down have accepted that it’s impossible. Hope on the other hand illustrates the expectation and certainty that a person has for a particular thing to take place, even if it is against the odds.
This is the kind of hope we want you to have. You may look at your situation right now and struggle to see the light at the end of the tunnel, but look at what God says of you:
“…I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” (Jeremiah 29:11)
We believe in this word and this is why we have declared Sunday, 25 August, The Day of Hope. THIS EVENT IS FOR YOU IF:
…you feel hopeless
…the hopes you started out with are dashed
….your hope hasn’t dwindled and you’re still fighting for your dream
…you’re afraid to hope because of so many disappointments
…you wonder if God exists
….you’re tired of crossing your fingers and wishing for the best
Be our special guests. Unite your faith with ours as we fight in prayer for your life to have peace and not evil, for a positive future and the realisation of your great hope.
Mark this date in your calendars – Sunday, 25 August and get ready to embrace the certainty of hope!
