WHAT YOU MIGHT SEE

Opening prayer:
Led by the pastor. The congregation joins in, with each person praying aloud in their own words. We believe that God hears each person's heartfelt prayer.

Strong prayer:
When prayers are made on behalf of the congregation seeking a spiritual resolution to difficult human problems.

Communion:
Obeys Jesus' command to his followers to commemorate His Last Supper with the consecration of bread and wine, which is shared by those present.

Anointing:
The act of placing a small amount of holy oil upon the person (usually their head) and making a healing prayer. The Bible says, "Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick..." (James 5:13)

Donations: The pastor will ask those who are willing to contribute to the church's general and specific funds. There is absolutely no compulsion to give.

Bible readings:
From the Old and New Testaments.

Announcements:
The pastor tells the congregation about the running of the church and its social and support activities.

Closing prayer:
Seeks God's blessing on the congregation as they prepare to resume their everyday lives.
